Alverno Laboratories is making two key updates effective April 2026. Coagulation testing for PT/PTC and APTT/APTTH will be consolidated under single test codes, with results reported using two reference ranges to distinguish patients on anticoagulant therapy from those who are not. Additionally, several tests including Lead, Histone Antibodies, Mycoplasma Antibodies, Varicella-Zoster IgM, and Nicotine (Cotinine) are transitioning to Quest Diagnostics, with new soft codes and updated specimen requirements now in effect.
