Solving the Puzzle: Get the Full Picture About Your Allergies

A blood test with whole allergens can provide information on whether you are sensitized to a "whole" allergen – like peanuts, cats, milk, dogs, eggs, etc. But that's not the full story.

Allergens are made up of multiple proteins, however, you may only be sensitized to one of the proteins within a whole allergen. Allergen component testing looks for the specific proteins you’re reacting to, which can help improve diagnosis and symptom management.1
